We already knew she could sing, and thanks to a star-making turn in The White Lotus, we're well aware she can act. So surely it was only a matter of time before BLACKPINK's Lisa combined those two skills? Now, she's doing exactly that, with a short film, Dream, on its way.
The singer took to Instagram to tease the news, promising an "emotional, beautiful story that will soon be yours." Here's everything you need to know about Dream.
When will Dream air?
Quite soon, actually. Despite a jam-packed schedule (she's currently on the road with BLACKPINK for their world tour), Lisa has promised Dream will air on 13 August 2025, at 11pm EST. For those of us watching on from Australia, that's 1pm AEST on August 14, 2025.
So, what is Dream exactly?
There's already a teaser trailer, which gives us a good idea of what to expect from Dream. It stars Lisa alongside Japanese actor and model, Kentaro Sakaguchi, as a couple on the brink of breaking up. From what we've gleaned from the trailer, Dream will seriously pull on our heartstrings, combining flashbacks from moments in love, to emotionally wrought scenes as the pair tell each other, "All good things must come to an end."

Is Lisa pivoting to acting?
Never say never. While we'd be thrilled for Lisa to bring Mook into season four of The White Lotus, or try her hand at a new role entirely, for now it seems like she's still firmly entrenched in the music world — both with her solo career, and as part of BLACKPINK.
Dream was released as the thirteenth track of Lisa's debut album, ALTER EGO back in February. She's also on the cusp of launching her own comic book company, and has been busy with the BLACKPINK world tour, with the group's next performance scheduled for London's Wembley Stadium on August 15 and 16.
