Lisa is taking us into her ‘Alter Ego’ with her own comic company

BLACKPINK's Lisa is stepping into her next era, or perhaps we should say, her own universe. 2025 is shaping up to be her year, from making her TV debut as Mook in The White Lotus Season 3 to now unveiling her first solo album, Alter Ego, an album inked in motion lines and drenched in illustrated attitude. But Lisa isn’t stopping at music. The BLACKPINK star has also announced the launch of Lalisa Comics, her very own comic company, debuting alongside Alter Ego. If you're itching for more information, we've got you covered. All the important details, below.

What exactly is Lalisa Comics?

Lalisa Comics arrives in partnership with Zero Zero Entertainment, with the duo's first project titled ALTER-EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC, a 56-page limited-edition journey into Lisa’s mind.

At the core of the comic are five distinct personas: Roxi, a social media star overwhelmed by external pressures; Kiki, an indomitable arcade champion with an unbreakable spirit; Sunni, a gentle mediator concealing internal struggles; Speedi, a daring adventurer learning the value of patience; and Vixi, the enigmatic protagonist who often works alone but soon discovers she doesn't have to.

The comic’s plot sees three antagonists trapping Vixi in a virtual reality nightmare, forcing her friends to dive into the digital realm to rescue her. The story, much like the album, embodies themes of courage, transformation, and unity.

The story has been illustrated by Japanese artist MINOMIYABI, who has famously collaborated with artists like Gorillaz for their comic Alamanac 2020: The Chronicles of Noodle. The visuals are rich, the concept is layered, and the creative direction is unmistakable.

When does Lisa's ALTER-EGO comic launch?

You won't have to wait too long for this one. Lisa's comic is set to drop in tandem with the Alter Ego album on February 28.
