LFW beauty report SS 17

From the slicked hair to the barely there. This season's beauty looks straight out of London.

Make it minimal.

MULBERRY
A subtle tan was all that was given to unify the look at the Mulberry SS 17 show. Keep hair middle parted, long and untied.

PREEN BY THORNTON BREGAZZI
She’s a restless spirit on an endless flight. Flowers adorned the face and body of this season’s Preen models. Witchy woman.

Shine on.

ANYA HINDMARCH
Sweat sells. Faces were coated in a sheeny gloss – and that’s it. Hair to match and we’re off running.

VERSUS VERSACE
“She’s a bad girl, a rebel. She breaks rules.” Donatella’s muse takes no heed of directions, opting for bright beauty in the colour of her choice.

Just the way you are.

BURBERRY RUNWAY
“Handsome girls and beautiful boys” was how makeup artist Wendy Rowe described the casting at this season's Burberry Runway show. With this in mind, there was little else to do save for a brush of the hair and nude on the lips.

ERDEM
Soft femininity was captivatingly beautiful at Erdem SS 17. Inspired by the women of the 16th century, hair was plaited, curled and free.

The sweetest thing.

PETER PILOTTO
Hair was soft and brushed. Skin was fresh and dewy. It doesn't take much to be Pilotto’s girl.

J.W.ANDERSON
She stood beneath an orange sky. For blush and lips, look to a fiery morning sun for inspiration.

All tied up.

SIMONE ROCHA
Ponytail plaits, not of the schoolgirl kind. Styled for hard work – when paired with ruby red lips they’re made for partying harder.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE
Hair, crimped and eyes, fiery and fierce. Look to the ladies of the 80s and the New Wave club scene for beauty destined for the night.

The new slick.

CHRISTOPHER KANE
Eyes were shadowed in soft grey and hair was stuck to the forehead for beauty that crossed the ages.
