As the weather slowly starts to heat up and our days close out much closer to bed time – it seems that summer and staying outdoors is on everyone's mind. And embracing the summer season coming, is none other than Kathmandu, but this time with Sydney-based artist Mulga.

It only makes sense as we have certainly loved everything we have seen from this Sydney artist. Artist, illustrator, muralist, author and designer – there has been no one's work as infectious and no other artist more inspired by summer and its pleasure-filled solstice.

 

 

So, in championing everything about the outdoors and in welcoming the season of adventure, Kathmandu invite us into the world of Mulga in the release of its first collaboration and lifestyle collection as part of Kathmandu's wider Spring/Summer campaign titled We’re Out There.

 

 

Summer and the outdoors becomes a main focus for its newest lifestyle collection. For Kathmandu x Mulga, we see the artist invite us into his world of characters and playful archetypes including Larry the Lizard, Nature Jack the Gorilla, Felicity the Fox and Farley the Frog all splashed across its collection of apparel, beach chairs, tents and beach towels.

And Kathmandu are head over heels. With positive messaging such as "Back To Nature", "Roam Free" and "Take A Hike" enforced through Mulga's characters, Kathmandu chief customer officer, Eva Barrett states, "as we continue to drive our purpose of improving the wellbeing of the world through the outdoors, this collaboration with Mulga couldn't be more timely - it's a fun and quirky piece of storytelling that encourages us all to get back out there in nature".

 

 

Aligned with Kathmandu and its campaign in exploring what it truly means to really be "out there", Kathmandu head of product Robert Fry further adds in regards to the collaboration, "Kathmandu exists to improve the well-being of the world through the outdoors, and what supports well-being more than humour and outdoorsy playfulness?"
