British heritage meets LifeWear – The JW Anderson collaboration with Uniqlo

Collaboration station. Global apparel retailer Uniqlo announces the launch of its Spring Summer 2020 Uniqlo and JW Anderson collection this week.

The latest exciting collaboration with leading London-based fashion designer Jonathan Anderson was themed around “British Country Style”, along with “British Heritage Meets LifeWear – British classics. Designed for Life Today.” Easygoing, everyday pieces to wear on repeat with a unique and signature heritage.

The collection combines the functionality and details of Uniqlo LifeWear along with Anderson’s playful take on traditional British apparel and patterns such as gingham checks and patchwork fun. This collection also marks the very first time for JW Anderson to create a long-awaited kids line. All the fashion forward parents rejoice!

The Uniqlo signature LifeWear is apparel that comes from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity. Designed to be of the time and for the time. Each piece is made with modern elegance to become the building blocks of each individual’s style. It’s simple design that is constantly being innovated for better comfort and wear.

The traditionally inspired collaboration collection includes an array of new styles in JW Anderson signature hues. Women’s pieces feature patchwork dresses and skirts, to large gingham pattern tote bags. Men’s pieces show anorak styling pocketable parkas, sleek shirting and relaxed drawstring trousers.

The highly anticipated kids line is essentially an extension of the adult range, making those parent-child photo worthy coordination outings all that easier. Pieces include linen-blend vintage inspired blouses, soft shirting, patchwork check skirts, t-shirts and more.

This is isn’t the first time Uniqlo has collaborated with powerhouse brand JW Anderson. The first collection dating back a few seasons for Autumn Winter 17, followed closely by Spring Summer 18.

The full Uniqlo x J.W.Anderson collection will be available from October 29 in Emporium, Mid City and the Uniqlo Website, with selected items available across all stores.
