I hate to be dramatic, but the beginning of winter is the literal worst. In the upcoming months, mild excitement builds at potentially buying a new forever coat, the thrill of layering, and all the stompy boots we might be wearing. All of this brief anticipation is squashed when the first cold day of autumn is an extremely rude awakening, and when you live in an 100-year-old mission building made entirely of brick like myself, 20 degrees feels more like 10. Which means jumpers are and will be on high rotation for the coming months until we can say farewell to the uninspiring grip that is Australian winter.
