Model Jordan Barrett and SIR. the Label have launched a new genderless capsule collection, consciously crafted and consisting of wardrobe staples designed to be timeless. Stemming from a longstanding friendship between Barrett and SIR. creative directors Nikki Campbell and Sophie Coote, the collection emulates Barrett’s personal style in tandem with SIR.’s minimalist aesthetic.
The collection consists of unisex pieces including tailored blazers and street style-inspired sweats, and is the first gender neutral collection carried by the brand. Campbell, Coote and Barrett hold a shared desire to craft a genderless wardrobe offering, this being the driving force between the trio coming together for the collection.
“Jordan has always been woven into SIR in some way,” explained the Creative Directors. “We share the same aesthetic and creative eye, so coming together was very natural. In a rare moment we were all in the same city, we found the perfect moment to collaborate on a deeper level.”
Built from luxe contemporary fabrics in tonal hues and oversized silhouettes, the collection coneys an effortless sensibility and carefree energy inherent to SIR. and Barrett’s personal vision.
“I’ve been collaborating with Nikki and Sophie in some way or another for as long as I can remember,” said Barrett of his relationship with the brand. “After a casual FaceTime sharing ideas as we do, the concept to create something that captured our shared vision was ignited. Each piece is an extension of me”
Integral to the design process of the collaborative collection was sourcing responsible, high-quality fabrics with imported yarns from leading mills forming the basis of the range, Organic, un-dyed and recycled cottons from Spain and Portugal pair with technical fabrics and shirting from Italy; each piece designed to pair with one another or with the core SIR. collection.
“This capsule is representative of Jordan’s undeniable energy and fresh perspective, woven with our SIR. DNA,” said Campbell and Coote.
