Jacquemus has officially revealed their Nike Air Force 1 sneaker collaboration

Jacquemus is no stranger to a sporty collab, teaming up with brands like Tekla and Nike to create some of the season's most covetable accessories. But now, Jacquemus and Nike are back at it again, officially revealing imagery this week for yet another deliciously French and spirited take on a classic Nike sneaker silhouette.

Last year's collaboration between the brands on the Air Humara sneaker in several colour ways was a raging success, so we're expecting this follow-up to be just as covetable with a Jacquemus Nike Air Force 'J Force 1s'.

What is the J Force 1 collaboration?

The 'J Force 1s' were teased some time ago, but we're finally getting our first official look via the Jacquemus socials.

“I’ve always wanted to work on the Air Force 1, which is for me one of the most iconic Nike shoes, with a more chic and softer gaze. My ambition was to revisit the pair from a minimal standpoint, that allows it to be worn as a dress shoe with a suit. I’ve also been much inspired by climbing shoes, especially by the Nike Terra Ci ACG, that I have been collecting for years," explains the French fashion House's eponymous designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus.

"I also wanted to bring a woven, technical aspect to the silhouette, which can often be found throughout my collections. I liked the idea of separating the shoe in half and creating a puzzle on its unique assembly.”

What colourways are available?

The J Force 1 will be available in three colours: white, silver and red.

What are some of the shoe's features?

The design has altered Air unit windows, which are longer and rectangular in shape (compared to the Air Force's usual shrunken iteration).

An altered toe bumper – in a perforated leather upper on the white sneaker and in mesh for the silver and red sneakers – gives the shoe a more streamlined and angular look too.

Small metallic Swooshes match silver 'JF1' embossed lace dubraes, as well as Swoosh-branded leather aglets and a unique woven sole with wraparound nylon cording.

When and where can I buy them?

You'll be able to get your hands on them soon enough, with the Jacquemus x Nike 'J Force 1' expected to be released on the Jacquemus website from 13 June, and via Nike from 20 June.
