Sometimes, your place of fitness and exercise isn’t particularly inspiring or possessing a curated vibe; it can make the workout drag. The antidote to this? Enter HermèsFit, a bespoke Hermès gym bathed in the signature House orange that arrives in Sydney in October.
What is HermèsFit?
Open to the public from October 14th through to 16th, the event is a continuation in a global series that has seen similar activations in Tokyo, New York, Paris and Bangkok. In true Hermès style, the HermèsFit space is decorated with graphic motifs and Hermès-branded equipment including barbells and kettlebells, with the playful space featuring a room for workout classing including a silk-inspired calisthenics course and a boxing ring that doubles as a photo booth.
Do you need to book?
So, how does one exercise at HermèsFit? Simply stop by anytime to discover the space, or book a class online to enter age gym. Coaches are on site to guide you through workout sessions in what is sure to be a unique way to get to know the house’s métiers. And for those of us not looking to sweat it out, the HermèsFit space has you covered. By night, the boxing ring is transformed into a stage for DJ sets and live concerts, with Ping-Pong table also set up for a light-hearted form of exercise.
Once arrived for your exercise and having left your belongings in a locker room, you collect a silk carré to proceed through to Silk Yoga to complete a series of scarf-inspired poses to promote better balance. In the Belt Stretching exercise, you are invited to choose a belt to help you breathe, relax and stretch. Kickboxing is reimagined with a twist, this time completed with bracelets and – our personal favourite – at the Small Leather Goods workout, you work out with grace and strength will keeping a hold of Kelly wallets and other leather accessories.
When is HermèsFit in Sydney?
