Now, we finally have more details on exactly who will bring the wit, warmth, and complex family dynamics of the Irish author’s beloved book to life on screen.

Who else is involved?
Behind the scenes, the project is in great hands. It was written and created by Samantha Strauss, who is best known for working on Apple Cider Vinegar. It's also coming to Netflix courtesy of See-Saw Films and Picking Scabs.
What is Grown Ups about?
The story takes place in Dublin, and follows the lives of the Caseys, a large, close-knit family. The official synopsis reads: "Johnny Casey, his two brothers Ed and Liam, their beautiful, talented wives and all their kids spend a lot of time together - birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, weekends away. And they're a happy family. Johnny's wife, Jessie - who has the most money - insists on it. Under the surface, though, conditions are murkier. While some people clash, other people like each other far too much . . . Everything stays under control until Ed's wife Cara, gets concussion and can't keep her thoughts to herself. One careless remark at Johnny's birthday party, with the entire family present, starts Cara spilling out all their secrets."
When will it air?
An exact release date remains to be seen, however filming has now begun in and around Dublin. We're hoping to see this one hit screens in late 2026...
