It's only been 24 hours since Fred Again... touched down in Sydney, Australia, and it feels like he already has the country wrapped around his trigger-happy fingers. It may have only been a year since the country was gripped by a fever of Fred obsession, but he's already back and ready to tour Australia one more time.
The UK musician arrived in Sydney yesterday after a series of cryptic Instagram stories were posted to his 2.3 million followers on Monday; sleuthing fans quickly pinpointing the iconic white-and-red kangaroo logo on his plane wing and determining that the artist was headed down under for a series of unannounced shows. And yesterday, rumours proved true as Fred spontaneously announced an intimate show at the Sydney Opera House – that very night.
A few thousand lucky fans snagged tickets to the event – wading through an online queue more than 120,000 people long, or physically running to the Sydney Opera House to grab tickets IRL – where the musician played tunes new and old, as well as confirming that he would indeed be announcing more Australia tour shows TODAY.

Tickets for shows start at $129 for reserved seating, $149 for premium reserved seating, $169 for platinum reserved seating and platinum reserved seating (no alcohol), and $179 for general admission standing.
