Emma Corrin is an amateur detective in this new ‘whodunit’ TV series

We can comfortably say that Emma Corrin - keeper of our hearts and face of Miu Miu's Fall Winter 21 campaign - is staying right where she is. Where is that exactly? Front and centre on our screens and honestly, we're thrilled. It turns out the actor has been tapped for FX's new limited series RetreatBrought to life by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij - the creators of the mind-bending, sci-fi series the OA - here's everything we know about the series, below.

What is Retreat about?

In the same vein as Knives Out and Murder on the Orient Express, the new series is another entry into the 'whodunnit' genre. It follows Emma Corrin as Darby Hart, the shows protagonist and an amateur detective who has set out to solve a recent murder.

The murder comes after 11 strangers along with Darby are invited to the secluded house of a mysterious billionaire. According to The Hollywood Reporter, when one of the guests is found dead, "Darby must fight to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life." Bold and daring, we're ravenous for Poirot Corrin.

Originally, creator Brit Marling was set to take on the lead role of Darby, but the announcement of Emma stepping into the show signals a change of direction.

When will Retreat air?

At the moment, there's no news of when we'll be able to set our peepers on another Emma Corrin television performance. Especially since casting has only just been finalised. But we'll be sure to update you when more information comes our way.

What's next for Emma Corrin?

While we hold out for Emma Corrin to appear in Retreat, we can take comfort in that this is one of a few new projects the actor has lined up. Currently, they are working on Netflix's adaptation of the risqué and once banned novel Lady Chatterly's Lover alongside Jack O’Connell from Skins. Not only that, but Emma is rubbing shoulders with Harry Styles no less, on the set of My PolicemanBoth are guaranteed to be a treat of the first water.
