Dessert is not a dirty word. This healthy and clean ‘nice-cream’ will satisfy the late night cravings of all ice-cream lovers – guilt-free.
1 ½ frozen bananas, cut into chunks
2 tablespoons almond butter
1 heaped tablespoon raw cacao powder
Pinch of sea salt
3 tablespoons desiccated coconut
½ teaspoon cinnamon
3–4 tablespoons filtered water
Handful of chopped or slivered almonds, to serve
Extra coconut, to serve
Put the bananas, almond butter, cacao, salt, coconut and cinnamon in a food processor and blitz to combine.
Slowly add the water until you’ve reached your desired consistency.
Scrape the nice-cream into a bowl or container and freeze for 20–30 minutes.
Take out and serve with almonds and coconut sprinkled on top.
Store peeled, chopped bananas in the freezer so you always have some on hand to whip this recipe up when the cravings hit.
