Win $500 to spend at Cisco & The Sun homewares

Cisco & The Sun

Handmade and designed to be perfectly imperfect. A $500 Cisco & The Sun voucher is exactly what you need to brighten up those cold winter months spent indoors.

Somewhere into my late 20's homewares became something to get excited about. Finding the perfect statement vase or a water carafe so beautiful you actually drink your two litres a day. Pulling out a new dinner set to entertain friends, or treating yourself to a ridiculously overpriced statement mirror. Just me? I didn't think so.

The Cisco & The Sun brand

Started in 2016 when Cisco Tschurtschenthaler and her husband George Gorrow opened their island stay in Canggu, Bali called The Slow, Cisco & The Sun was imagined as a finishing touch. Unable to source the precise pieces they had envisioned, Cisco set about creating her own line of homewares. Designed to suit their considered aesthetic and unrelenting dedication to sustainability, Cisco & The Sun was born.

Working with ceramicists who craft entirely by hand using ancient and considered techniques, Cisco & the Sun pieces have evolved into a recognisable collection of unique and earthly tableware. Think mugs, bottles, dinnerware and even tea pots in soft browns, whites and charcoals - often contrasted with natural golden teak wood details.

Mixing both Asian and Western sensibilities, the pieces are crafted by the sixth sense, or what the Japanese refer to as “wabi sabi”. Being handmade, slight variances exist within each item, giving uniqueness to glaze, size, texture and weight. These variations add depth and beauty to the ceramic craft, signifying their spirit and dissimilarity to the mass produced. The ultimate signature pieces.
