The last time Childish Gambino released a new album, Sydney was a week out from its first lockdown. I only mention it because it's been a long time since we received fresh music from the artist (if you don't count the original music he made to accompany Swarm). Well, buckle up superfans, the musician and actor has announced his next album, ATAVISTA. Here are all the details.
When will Childish Gambino launch his new album ATAVISTA?
The new album is actually not that new at all. Instead, it's being billed as a re-release of his previous album 3.15.20. Eagle-eyed fans have noted from viewing the tracklist that ATAVISTA is just the 2020 album with the exception that each song is listed by its proper title over a timestamp.
The only track missing from the album is seemingly 32.22, meanwhile popular 2018 single 42.26 is replaced with Human Sacrifice. Make of that what you will.

It's not yet clear when ATAVISTA will drop. Childish Gambino has missed an opportunity to stage the relaunch on the four-year anniversary date of 3.15.20. However, stick around for more information as it flows in.
What else has Donald Glover been up to?
Since his last release, Childish Gambino AKA Donald Glover has been burying his head in the land of TV. Not only did he co-create Swarm with Janine Nabers – the 2023 Prime Video series about fandom starring Dominique Fishback, Chloe Bailey, Billie Eilish, Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin and Kiersey Clemons – Glover has also co-created and starred in a successful TV reboot of the 2005 spy romance Mr. & Mrs Smith alongside Maya Erskine.
Glover also notably gave Malia Obama her big break, with the former first daughter signing on as a writer for the show.
