Camille Rowe is the latest It Girl to take on the horror genre

Want to track down an It Girl? Don't bother searching the pilates studio, bookshop or the sticky floors of the sceniest club – she's not there. There's a high chance that woman is on the set of a horror film instead. From Charli XCX and Barbie Ferreira in Faces of Death, FKA Twigs in The Crow remake, and – yes, Kim Kardashian in the latest season of American Horror Story, it appears the girlies are planning their scream queen takeover. Best of all, at least in our opinion, is the prospect of seeing everyone's favourite French face, Camille Rowe, star in the upcoming survival horror film, Night of the Hunted.

What is Night of the Hunted about?

If you consider yourself well-versed in the horror genre, it's best to preface by assert that no, this is not a remake of the 1980s movie of the same name. However, Night of the Hunted is not an original film – it's based off of the 2015 Spanish horror La Noche del Ratón.

The premise is as follows: a woman stops at a petrol station late at night, where she is shot repeatedly by an unknown, hidden sniper. To survive, she must uncover the sniper's motive, which she pieces together as each new person wanders into the store. Is it the most engrossing plot? No, probably not. Will we watch it anyway just to see Camille Rowe in the lead role of Alice? Sure, why not.

Who else is involved?

Night of the Hunted is directed by French filmmaker Franck Khalfoun and, as mentioned, is lead by Camille Rowe. She's joined by Jeremy Scippio, Stasa Stanic, J. John Bieler and Monaia Abdelrahim, among others.

Is there a trailer?
