For those of us residing in the Southern Hemisphere, we find ourselves placed in that tricky time of year where the days are getting cooler, yet does it really feel fair to call it cold just yet. Daylight hours are slowly shrinking, nights stretch out longer, evenings and mornings have a snap to them. It's a confusing time in our calendars – and by proxy, our wardrobes – and the transitional coat is a must.

As we enter into that grey area of trans-seasonal territory, we find ourselves in an optimistic shopping trance - lusting around for the perfect trans-seasonal coat to help us transition from the warmth of summer into the depths of winter (and back out the other side). In our opinion, there is no real rule when it comes to picking something for two seasons, although we have always felt the perfect coat for these times is one that is not too heavy nor too light.
