Not even a week fresh off the gilded glittering Met Gala carpet, Bella Hadid has adorned her campaign crown with another prized jewel, the title of ambassador and new face of Swarovski. Announced as the brand's latest addition to its roster of spokesmodels, the supermodel features in a paired down campaign captured by industry icons Mert and Marcus.
Dressed in a pink corset, futuristic space buns, and a bold green hoodie, Hadid plays up Swarovski creative director Giovanna Engelbert’s adornments on her neck and wrists clinging with glittering crystal embellishments and earlobes drenched in candy-coloured jewels.
The campaign highlights a new generation of accessorising yourself, the concept seemingly highlighting how overzealous jewels are inclusive for all. The rules of the game have changed, and in fact wearing your accoutrements alongside your Adidas is encouraged. Hadid, who has been a big enforcer of urban style with her every day attire, makes the ideal ally for this new campaign push. Englebert reiterated this about her saying;
"Bella sums up the individualistic and transformative attitude of a new global generation,” she explains. “She’s a multifaceted character who evades the boxes of rules and conformity. She goes from sporty to glamorous while remaining the same girl with confidence and authority". Bella herself has expressed her excitement to be on board as the new ambassador stating;
“I was very familiar with Swarovski already. It really is such a timeless and iconic brand. I love the new collections and what the brand has been doing, especially these past two years under the creative vision of Giovanna, and I really see Swarovski as the contemporary jewellery brand of the future".
