An era of authenticity: YSL welcomes Barbie Ferreira as the new ambassador for beauty

Barbie Ferreira

With each year that Euphoria is on the air, we begin to see more of the actors, their skill and their artistry. While we get a look in to each of their individual style on the red carpet and off, it's the female cast members that leave us wanting more. We've seen Sydney Sweeney dominate with her choice of glove couture, and of course Zendaya and Hunter Schafer always bringing their fashion A-game. But it's our girl Barbie Ferreira who continues to both surprise and delight.

In another welcome step, our favourite champion of authenticity has been chosen as the next YSL Beauty ambassador, proving once again that body inclusivity has an important place in the beauty sphere. Always one to show up to the table, challenging the conventional binaries of the industry, the actress will join the ranks alongside fellow icons Dua Lipa, Zoë Kravitz and BLACKPINK‘s Rosé.

In a statement given by the VP of Global Communications, David Lop expressed that, “Barbie represents the brand’s vision of the future, pushing boundaries in both culture and beauty with freedom of expression at our core”. Recognising her as a "unique creative who inspires her community to embrace their edge and individuality".

YSL of course is known for pushing the envelope in both the fashion and beauty space. With its edgy and provocative products, intensity is the focus with both their fashion and beauty ambassadors. The brand has just released the Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara. The mega-volumising mascara has been formulated with the brand’s largest brush yet, delivering a massive 200% more volume, leaving lashes full bodied and with a pigmented finish. We know Barbie, with her deeply striking beauty will make the perfect candidate for the upcoming campaign.

The new Lash Clash Mascara is available on YSL Beauty’s website and at Sephora online and in-person at all stores.
