Dior has announced its first-ever Australian fashion ambassador: Alycia Debnam-Carey

Alycia Debnam-Carey is the first Australian Dior ambassador

The House of Dior has a pretty impressive roster of ambassadors these days; a considered selection of friends of the brand that embody the spirit of the Maison in their lives and creative endeavours. It's a group as diverse and far-ranging as K-Pop stars Jimin and Jisoo, to actors Robert Pattinson and Anya Taylor-Joy. Being added to their exclusive roster is a pretty big deal – a seat amongst some pretty stellar company – so it's a pretty exciting day knowing that, for the first time ever, an Australian has been included in the ranks.

Australian actress Alycia Debnam-Carey is the Maison's newest fresh face, and an ambassador for Dior fashion in Australia. Embodying the spirit and elegance of Dior's style and femininity, it's a match that feels only natural for both the actress and the House. Debnam-Carey carries herself with all the grace and creativity manifested in the ethos of Dior, her ability to reinvent herself through her work as an actress mirroring the Maison's aim to express the power of transformation through their craft.

The actress and the House have developed a close working relationship as of late. Attending her first-ever Paris Fashion Week in September, Debnam-Carey attending Dior's SS24 show, and stopped by their L’Or de J’adore Paris exhibition at the Beaux-Arts de Paris on the Rue Bonaparte just last month.

Who is Alycia Debnam-Carey?

Alycia Debnam-Carey is a Sydney-born emerging actress best known for her roles as Lexa in the dystopian sci-fi series The 100, and as Alicia Clark on the horror-drama Fear the Walking Dead. She's recently taken up a lead role in the new Hulu series Saint X, and can also be found acting across from Sigourney Weaver and fellow Aussie Asher Keddie in Amazon's limited series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart

She's already garnered a pretty healthy following online for her roles, and we're likely to see her go on to even bigger and better things into 2024.
