Designed to share. Viktoria & Woods announce the launch of their Unisex 1.0 collection release.
Unisex 1.0 is refined and relaxed in style. Made for the everyday and for everyone. The collection includes oversized hoodies, crew neck sweaters, oh so comfy looking track pants and t-shirts, along with my personal favourite, a dreamy grandpa-chic knitted cardigan. Key signature styles also feature the iconic Viktoria & Woods anniversary print and WOODS logo.
True to the Viktoria & Woods design ethos, each piece from the collection is proudly knitted and made in Melbourne, Australia with 100% cotton fleece and terry cotton. The unisex apparel can also be paired with a selection of exclusive additions in the way of Reebok footwear and WOODS caps. In our current situations, there’s definitely always more room for comfortable lounge and leisurewear to cosy up in.
Viktoria & Woods Founder & Creative Director, Margie Woods said of the release, “Unisex 1.0 Lounge stays true to our vision and style as a brand. The monochromatic palette allows it to work seamlessly into your wardrobe regardless of seasonality or trends. I also wanted to encourage that clothing can be shared. My 14 year old daughter shares a lot of my wardrobe and my 11 year old son also wears some of my sweats. So this idea of sharing and the genderless wardrobe adds to the sustainability of the pieces, which are all knitted and made in Australia.”
The collection shoot was lensed by RUSSH favourite and photographer Ivana Martyn-Zyznikow and featuring models Kristen Apollos and Conlan Munari. Intimate black and white portraits showcase the relaxed and effortless styles along with the total ease and comfort they each bring to any wearer.
A simple approach, Viktoria & Woods has been creating effortless wardrobe staples with a pared-back modern feel since launching back in 2004. The greater part of V&W designs are made in Australia and accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia. The philosophy of the Viktoria & Woods team has always been to value sustainable textiles and manufacturing methods that are kinder to our blessed mother earth.
