New York Fashion Week shows are back and here is the live schedule

As we have all been made very well aware, the pandemic has definitely been one to take the fashion industry off its course in the past few years. With all in-person events, shows and fashion weeks coming to a close and reaching for the highly digitised - it has just been announced that New York Fashion Week is set to make its grand return.

Following an announcement, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and IMG have officially released its NYFW schedule ahead of its launch this September, welcoming back some normalcy with live presentations, events and rotating show roster. NYFW will run from Sept 7 - Sept 12 and after an 18 month hiatus, we welcome back CFDA’s official spring 2022 calendar.

In a press release, CEO of the CFDA Steven Kolb tells WWD states - “New York Fashion Week is back with a diverse lineup representative of the future of American fashion. Our fashion industry has come together as we continue to emerge from the pandemic, and a collaborative spirit is paramount to the success of our creative talents. Working in tandem with IMG has enabled us to present a singular official New York Fashion Week schedule of shows and presentations within the American Collections Calendar.”

The official schedule line up includes some of New York's finest and up and coming designers including Collina Strada, Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Proenza Schouler, Phillip Lim, Helmut Lang, Telfar, Rodarte, Vaquera, Thom Browne and closing with Tom Ford. As of yet, there has been no official release or statement made regarding official COVID safety protocols for NYFW, however with the high levels of vaccination roll outs through the state, NYFW has been deemed safe to go ahead.
