There's only one thing that could seduce me into trading my iPhone in for an Android, and it's Samsung's upcoming collaboration with Maison Margiela. The two companies have put their heads together to reimagine Samsung's futuristic Galaxy Z Flip 4, the kind of phone that looks like it belongs in an early noughties sci-fi film or Spy Kids.

Announced over Instagram, Samsung has described the team-up with Maison Margiela as a "beautiful juxtaposition of state-of-the-art technology and haute couture." Leading with images of the updated product, the phone has clearly had a very Maison Margiela makeover. All of the minimalist codes are there, with Margiela's signature four stitches and emblematic numeric coding ring. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 arrives with the French fashion House's pulp-paper textured finish too.

This isn't the first time Samsung has dipped into the fashion industry for a collaborator. In 2020, the tech monolith tapped Thom Browne to redesign its Galaxy Z Fold3, with the final product carrying Thom Browne's signature red, white and blue stripe motif. Then later in 2021, Samsung would set its eyes on Maison Kitsuné for a sought after and cutesy reinterpretation of its Galaxy Watch.

So, where to secure it? If this is the very kind of thing that lights a fire in your belly, then know that the Maison Margiela Galaxy Z Flip 4 is coming soon. When exactly is soon? Your guess is as good as ours. Keep a close watch of Samsung's website for more details as they surface.
