What the ‘RUSSH’ editors are buying this month

RUSSH editors wishlist

Much of the time when we are all in the office, the RUSSH editors congregate to eat lunch and discuss the things that we are lusting over that month. Mostly, this is a slippery slope of enablement to spend the money we are trying to save, but how could we say no when we think our colleagues would look good in everything? In case you're curious about the conversation that ensues, below is a guide of everything the RUSSH editors have on their wish list for August.

I'm not usually one to lust after shiny things, but recently this Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée Diamonds Ring caught my eye, and it's joined my wish list for something different alongside this Prada Double Breasted Leather Coat to take me into Spring. Miu Miu Satin Panties are the least practical but most covetable item right now, since everyone wants to show a little of our intimates, and on the subject of satin, this Contrast Suit Skirt from Acne Studios has my name on it.

Sadly, I am not buying these items as yet but I have had my eye on three things over the last few weeks. Firstly, we have the Bottega Veneta Almond Pump. Now, I actually purchased a pair of these in tan last month, and have since discovered they are the comfiest heels I have ever worn. Naturally, I am now going full Duchess of Cambridge and want a pair in every neutral shade to go with any outfit. Secondly, the Celine Triomphe sunglasses in black. Everyone in the office knows these are on my wishlist because I won’t stop talking about them. I love the 1960s-style shape, and Celine sunglasses always have that sexy feeling when you hold them. It’s a bit indescribable. And lastly, I am still pining for a Gucci Jackie 1961. The feeling when you hold it, its practical size and the beautiful, quality make of the bag enticed me completely. I don’t think I’ll feel satiated until I’ve acquired it… but that’s going to take quite some time.

Winter is almost done – thank god, but I can’t shake the desire for a track jacket, and this Wales Bonner x Adidas option scratches that itch. The rest of the bookmarked tabs in my brain are mostly dedicated to secondhand pieces right now, as it’s all my bank account can stomach. On that list is a Marithé + François Girbaud dress I found on Depop and a pair of chunky flip-flops, maybe these from the Attico on Vestiaire or the Coperni platform thong sandals? Besides those pieces, I’m hunting for a special dress for my brother’s summer wedding later in the year, which in a dream world would be this silk bias cut Galliano cutie.

Somehow, we’re almost at September and I’ve barely saved a dime. Do I plan on changing my ways before 2022 comes to a close? Probably not, which is why I haven’t stopped staring at my wishlist of unattainable goodies that I am now going to share with you. I recently found myself stumbling into Miu Miu, and the first thing that caught my eye was this cropped Organza Top in navy. As the weather begins to warm up, I am lusting over all things sheer, and the long bow detail delivers the feminine, preppy touch Miu Miu is totally owning right now. In way of accessories, I’m almost afraid to admit it but word on the street is that the wedge heel is back. And no, I’m not talking about the cork shoe variety, but a more futuristic take like these Guiseppe Zanotti babies. Pairing perfectly with this Oroton Vera Luxe Bead Bag, I’ll be jingle, jangling my way through the streets like it’s Ibiza in 07’!
