Autumn is making itself known this month and our focus remains on the art of the transition. This month, the team is preoccupied with the hunt for the perfect pair of loafers, the sudden necessity of primary red, and the investment coats and knitwear we'll be wearing for the next decade.
From cult beauty finds to the staples currently sitting in our carts, these are the pieces we’re coveting this April.

I have been watching Colleen Allen for quite some time, an American fashion designer, who makes the chicest pieces. And ever since I saw Devon Lee Carlson wearing her backless jersey dress, I have been in love. I will get this dress…one day. I have a few weddings coming up this year, and realised I only have one old pair of heels. These Khaite zebra print pumps are just amazing, and as most of my dresses are black, would be a fun accessory to them. I really like this Friends with Frank coat, it’s the perfect grey wool coat with a little bit of shape.
I have been breaking out a little bit, so I will be purchasing the Starface pimple patches and trying them out for the first time. And I am quite excited to try Fara Homidi’s eyeshadow palette that comes to Mecca soon. The pop of blue is really fun. Lastly, these Love Isabelle everyday hoops are just perfect staple for the ears.

First and foremost, I have developed a sickening obsession with this Realisation Par dress. The colours, the cut, everything about it is so good. I need to get my hands on it. It would go great with a pair of red heels, like these Aeyede ones, and is perfect for wedding season. I was lucky to preview Friends with Frank’s new collection this week (a treat for Sydney-siders), and it’s all so good, but I’m particularly in love with this blazer dress, and this shirt. Winter essentials. Speaking of essentials, I think this Camilla and Marc mini might be the best LBD I’ve seen in a while. I love that it’s a little bit different, but still very wearable. Accessories-wise, I have been loving Reh studios for great everyday bags. I’m particularly vibing this brown suede style. And last but certainly not least, I was gifted this beautiful Love Isabelle watch and I’m obsessed. It’s the perfect mini size, and makes me feel so put together.

I'm leaning into the cooler weather with my shopping picks in April. This SIR ayana gathered cardigan and marius knit vest are top of the list. I also want to purchase this PARIS GEORGIA elemental heart body suit – a great basic. HARRIS TAPPER's bram jacket is on my wishlist and is the break between my black and brown outerwear.
I'm on the loafers train (like everyone else at the moment) and love VIKTORIA & WOODS' marco loafer. These from Tony Bianco are also a great option.
I've been enjoying sans [ceuticals] recently, particularly their Activator 7 Body + Hair + Face Oil. It does a great job of sorting out my dry skin with the weather shift. Lastly, hair accessories have been having their moment and this Classic Oval Barrette from apricité will go nicely in my collection.

I’ve always had a soft spot for anything check or plaid and I can’t get enough of everything Apres Studio does. This plaid ruched tee has been on my radar for a while now, as has this Poppy Lissiman bag.
I’m also in serious need of updating my transeasonal shoe wardrobe. Loafers have been a big inspiration lately. While THE ROW Eel loafers will forever be on my wishlist, I’m planning to add these Tony Bianco ones as the season shifts. On top of that, I’m excited to bring some fresh colour into my trans-seasonal wardrobe, starting with this vibrant red cashmere sweater.

A black mini dress is essential this time of year, and the Bondi Born Kyoto Mini Dress might just be the winner this season. I love the shape and the perfect thickness of the straps. Pockets are always a win in my books too. I also spotted this Witchery ensemble (Funnel Neck Trench Coat and Pacific Wash Wide Leg Jeans) in the window at Adelaide Airport last weekend and haven’t stopped thinking about recreating it.
I also stumbled across this brand TISSIMUM online and am obsessed with this beautiful Lagoon Skirt – same with these Scarlett & Sam Noa Ballet Wedges (currently on pre-order). Lastly, how incredible is this Squared Sterling Silver Battered Ring from Makers and Providers? Too chic.

At the top of my wishlist for April are Rick Owens sunglasses - I’m obsessed with the shape and blue lens. A few St Agni pieces have also been on my mind - notably these folded pants in dove grey, and tank in mauve.
I’m looking for some in-between pieces that work with Sydney’s temperamental Autumn weather. This Posse long-sleeved mini dress caught my eye, alongside some long denim shorts, and a bodysuit from SIR.
I’m typically drawn to muted tones, but this Dragon Diffusion bag caught my eye, alongside these checkered boxer shorts. I’m also looking for some new huggies, and this Saint Valentine pair feel just right. Lastly, I’ve been on the lookout for some new trainers and spotted my dream Salomon x MM6 pair.

I find this two-toned Alix Higgins top quite delightful in the way it plays with colour, depth and shape. Even though the warmer days are coming to an end, I’m flirting with the idea of getting into swim boxer trunks and these from Kourh seem like the perfect start. They are also perfect for festival season!
Little Yarn often sells out of their tees and I’m keeping a close eye on the blue and yellow at the moment. I’ve been looking at Uniqlo too, and they know what they are doing with the Funnel Neck Shirt.
I love Niamh Galea and her baby tees. Just make sure to put sunscreen on your chest if you plan on spending time in the sun. Lastly, I finally settled and bought a much-needed quilt cover and matching pillowcase from Hommey.

Even though it hasn’t technically gotten much cooler or less humid, I’m still leaning into the Autumn aesthetic where leather jackets, boots and turtlenecks can come out of hiding. I love this midi skirt by Chloé. You could take her anywhere and she would fit in and look perfect with socks whilst it’s still warm and some Wolford tights for when it gets cooler. I also love this Issey Miyake Shadow dress, which is conveniently on sale at the moment (I love artful designs and discounts).
This beautiful Stella lace satin top would be great to move from day to night in what seems to be an ever-rushing year, meaning all choices need to be versatile. I would love to get the Beare Park Ramona shirt in chocolate and black – I find I wear their shirts more than anyone else’s at the moment. My trainers are on their last legs, so I have been coveting a pair of the Onitsuka Tiger Tigcourts to keep me moving.

My most coveted wishlist item this month is a new pair of simple black loafers. I saw these Alias Mae ones in Aleks’s wishlist last month and I fell in love. But I also really love the simplicity of the pair from Dear Frances. I’m also sorely tempted by the selection at Miu Miu. A new season means a new bra fitting to make sure I have the right base under my clothes. I have one of the new Simone Perele Bodies bras which fits like a glove, it’s one of my favourite brands for D+ lingerie. I love this white tank from St Agni, it’s the perfect layering piece. These jeans from Rebecca Vallance triggered major nostalgia, they are so similar to a pair I bought in high school and I’d never felt cooler or more stylish than in those jeans. I may have to buy them to relive the feeling of finding the perfect dark-blue bootcut jean.
I desperately want a slouchy brown suede bag and I am kind of obsessed with this Oroton one. The Summer Fridays lip liners are my new favourite makeup staple, the colours are perfect for creating the Nina Park lip. I was recently sent the new range from AKT and I was completely ensnared by the body balm; there’s something so cosy yet fresh about petit grain. Finally, I have become totally enraptured by the new Nothing (4a) Pro phone. I like to have a second phone for work matters and content capture and the photo presets on this device are incredible. Now it’s time to start the TikTok account I’ve been planning.
