Celeste

If you're looking to cure some weekend boredom in isolation, we have the perfect antidote.

Online radio station, NTS Radio in collaboration with Jameson Irish Whiskey, has curated a music festival for the digital age. It's called Remote Utopias and it will bring artists all over the world together for 24-hour celebration of live music.

You'll be able to tune into Remote Utopias on the NTS Radio website on Saturday, May 2 from 6pm AEST. NTS has called on everyone from musicians, DJs, artists and filmmakers from all the globe. It will be a whirlwind of music from all genres and will include exclusive premieres, radio and live video streams. And you be able to access all of it from the comfort of your own living room - or bed if you're feeling especially cosy.

The stellar lineup includes names like New Zealand rapper JessB, Tame Impala, Rejjie Snow, JPEGMAFIA, DUCKWRTH & British soul singer Celeste. Host Charlie Bones will be taking call-ins over the course of the event, asking listeners worldwide to share their music not-so guilty pleasures, which will then be played live on air.

With much of the world in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, mounting pressure has been placed on the creative industries. Gigs, festivals and tours have all been cancelled, and many industry professionals rely on these to make a living. Jameson and Remote Utopias are supporting upwards of fifty artists, from NTS residents to emerging and established talent, during this time of hardship. The festival will also be fundraising for The Global FoodBanking Network, encouraging listeners to donate (if they have the means) when they tune in.

All the details of the festival can be found on the NTS Radio website and fans can sign up in advance to get the broadcast details in advance. You'll also be able to tune in over the NTS app. And if you did miss out, Jameson will be hosting the festival stream on its website, so you can relive the performances.

Tune at 6pm on Saturday May 2 to join Remote Utopias.
