Where California oasis meets the daily downtown daydream. Sydney-born, L.A.-based artist George Byrne showcases his new exhibition, Post Truth, at The Olsen Gallery, Woollahra. Demonstrating how a relocation to California transformed his unique photographic eye, the exhibition combines his signature captures of urban American landscape, blended with abstract painting techniques. Side by side the two mediums prove electric, a vision of Byrne’s everyday existence where the mundane becomes neon, highlighting how creativity can allow you to fluidly cross the line between reality and fantasy. Post Truth’s opening reception takes place Friday, February 8, with the exhibition running through February 17.
