Your first look at the new Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000

Sneaker trends can be hard to keep up with if you're not a bonafide 'sneakerhead', but it's not hard to see that the New Balance 1000 shoe is gearing up for a big year as one of 2024's most popular sneaker silhouettes.

Debuting the 1000 back in March via a collaboration with Joe Freshgoods, and featuring in a campaign with UK rapper Dave, the shoe has already well and truly staked its ground in the sneaker community globally.

Doubling down on their recent successes, New Balance have on-the-sly debuted a brand new collaboration with NY-founded fashion and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore.

Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis teased the new iteration by revealing a first look on his Instagram Stories this week.

What will it look like?

The new, collaborative sneaker is set to feature a soft white and grey colourway, moving away from the pre-aged aesthetic the sneaker brand has opted for in recent releases.

Instead, the shoe has a sportier vibe and a tech-friendly design, featuring subtle branding on the tongue and at the forefoot. A perforated toe-box, mesh-like texture on the insoles, and opaque lacelets with roped laces in a hiking-style dotting round out the design.

What is the price?

The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1000 will be priced at $170 USD, which is around $257 AUD.

When is it going to be released?

For now, there has been no official release date set for the collaboration. But, we're expecting to hear updates soon (so check back for more details).

Where can I buy it?

As with previous collaborations between the two brands, the sneaker should be available to purchase via both New Balance and the Aimé Leon Dore.
