With training tips from elite coaches and athletes, and pep talks from iconic entertainers, these guides are easy to learn and simple to apply – allowing you to go into your next workout with a calm mind and clear perspective.
How it works
Audio guided runs (AGR’s) provide step-by-step coaching from experienced and elite Nike athletes and coaches, with the ultimate goal of helping you improve by learning about yourself as a runner.
Falling under the long, speed or recovery categories, the addition of audio guided mindfulruns allows you to direct attention to your body, to focus, and find both peace and strength from within. “When we are running mindfully, we are actively creating the conditions for that sense of flow, meaning everything is enhanced, from technique and motivation to focus and recovery,” explains headspace founder Andy Puddicombe.
Allowing you to tune out distracting thoughts that can cloud the mind, mindful AGR’s help you connect mental and physical activity, which, according to headspace experts and sports psychologists, amplifies and improves personal performance. By encouraging correct technique and demonstrating ways to push away negative thoughts, mindfulness allows for the full health benefits of a workout to be achieved – resulting in a happier and healthier you.
