Choice is important, and who really wants to be locked into one decision forever? Why can't we have the best of both worlds in this day and age?
Well, that's what two Australian brands were thinking when they came together to create a capsule collection of linens, and a pioneering 'reversible' bed head.
Lifestyle brands McMullin & co. and I Love Linen's newly released 'Maude' Bedhead features two fabric options – McMullin's mushroom heavy-weave fabric on one side, and I Love Linen's signature 'Creme' linen fabric on the other – so you can move with the seasons, changing your decor with abandon. Spice things up during the colder months with the warmth of the mushroom colour way, or freshen and lighten your sanctuary with the neutral 'Creme' side in the heat of summer.
It's organic wavy form and stretched fabric covering make for a gorgeously contemporary piece that fits into almost any home aesthetic you might be going for – whether you're looking for that French girl apartment energy or a Scandinavian interior.
The bedhead's freestanding nature also means that it's easy to change at will, without the need to mount or demount the piece from your wall.
“Collaborating with Lauren from I Love Linen was always a natural progression for us, we have often worked together in the past in a styling con text as her product works so well with the McMullin & co. furniture so it was wonderful to create this special bedhead together.” said Alice McMullin, founder of McMullin & co.
McMullin and Lauren Roe wanted to create a design-forward yet timeless piece that surpasses trends.
“We’ve had a beautiful and collaborative relationship with the wonderful humans at McMullin," said Lauren Roe, founder of I Love Linen.
"Working directly with Alice and her team was very organic and rewarding and when she pitched the idea of the bed head I immediately knew I also needed to design matching bed linen that was elegant, pulled back and minimal.”
When will the collaboration be available?
The Maude Bedhead in Queen and King sizes are available now on the McMullin and co. website.
