An intimate look inside Lucy Folk’s celebratory dinner for the launch of ‘Golden Hour’

The nomadic, highly coveted and ever-expanding eponymous brand Lucy Folk invited creative spirits and friends alike to an intimate dinner to celebrate the launch of Golden Hour, part of the new Lucy Folk SALT collection. Fittingly, the festivities took place at that magical moment in time as day shifts to night and the world feels soaked in amber, overlooking the Sydney Harbour.

The Golden Hour capsule collection is Lucy's first foray into special pieces to wear after dark – unique pieces of clothing to wear and collect which she hopes will become heirlooms like a piece of her jewellery. This collection is a compelling extension of the brand that explores the everlasting interplay between light and dark, from dusk until dawn, worthy of the celebrations of the evening. Joyous it was as guests frolicked joyously around the gorgeous venue in pieces from the collection.

For the occasion, Lucy Folk and her guests celebrated over a spread served up by Australian-born London/Spain-based chef Magnus Reid with the help of Arlo Communal, naturally. Guests enjoyed a salt-focused menu (only appropriate considering the evening's celebration) and sipped on Espiritu Lauro mezcal, Sake Sake, Capi cocktails and NON. The evening's festivities were a collaboration with Arts Matter; a Sydney-based cultural programming platform and creative community that celebrates the arts.

The capsule collection is made up of fringes and cotton, a playful take on timeless Lucy Folk pieces — but with a little something extra. The Eos Beaded Dress, Hat and Belt come in both Ecru and Wasabi. As well as the Assal Fringe Swing Dress, Assal Bell Sleeve Jacket and Assal Long Vest, crafted from a luxurious cotton canvas. A curated selection, perfect for those early evening adventures that flow well into the night.

Needless to say, what's a party without a stellar guest list? RUSSH favourite guests included Joanna Halpin, Kitty Callaghan, Gabrielle Penfold, Anna Feller, Lucy Hinkfus, Tamsin and Patrick Johnson among other creative spirits.

Here, we're sharing some exclusive and intimate moments from the evening, as captured by RUSSH's own, Kitty Callaghan.
