Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir I have tried in my way to be free. A master of poetry and song, Leonard Cohen was as enigmatic on film as he was in life. To celebrate the release of the French version of Tony Palmer’s documentary, Leonard Cohen – Bird on a Wire, A. Galerie, Paris, is showcasing an exhibition of photographs of the musician captured by Claude Gassian. The photos depict Cohen throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, and will be on display at the gallery until May 20.
