Yes, you read that correctly. The rumour mill is in overdrive this morning, with news that the the Grammy-winning, Chinese-Icelandic musician looks likely to be touring in Australia before too long. Here's what we know so far.
Why do fans think Laufey is touring Australia?
A selection of Laufey's fans were surprised by an automated text over the weekend, which read: "Australia! Pre-order A Matter of Time by August 28 to receive upcoming unannounced AUS tour pre-sale access + chance to Zoom w/ Laufey." It was followed up with a link which, when you click through, leads to a page to pre-order the singer's new album, and reiterates that the purchase will be accompanied by access to an "upcoming unannounced Laufey Australian tour pre-sale code."
When would Laufey's Australian tour be?
Here's where details are scant. Laufey is currently on tour in the United States, with dates scheduled from now until October 27, 2025.
With her schedule free in November and December, it's highly possible that the singer could time a trip Down Under to coincide with festival season. Perhaps she could be a last-minute addition to the lineups at Beyond The Valley or Spilt Milk? We can only dream.
How to get tickets
Without firm dates, it's hard to jnow when tickets will go on sale. However, your best bet to be first in line is to order a digital download or physical copy of the album, A Matter Of Time.
