“It’s been inspiring to see women illustrate their personal style, and divulge their view of what is sexy through this originally for-male medium,” says New York fashion and lifestyle photographer Kava Gorna in the opening pages of her book 100 Cheeks. An ode to vintage denim and the women who make each pair uniquely their own, 100 Cheeks features 50 “close friends or strangers” captured up close, from behind; on the road, on the town or in their personal habitats, wearing their most cherished pair. Here, Gorna shares with RUSSH some of her favourite snapshots.
