Jennie Gentle Monster

With each day that passes, it seems the cultural gravitas of BLACKPINK seems to grow. We here have been watching on the frontlines with gleeful aplomb, speculating to see what next collaboration looms on the horizon for this chic foursome. This year alone has seen a masterful takeover of the industry with all four members of the record-smashing K-pop girl group teaming up with four of the biggest houses in fashion. Jennie for Chanel, Lisa for Celine, Jisoo for Dior, and Rosé for Saint Laurent.

It was only a matter of time before one of them took a collaboration to the next level. Enter, Jennie who just revealed her new project. A partnership with Korean eyewear outfitters Gentle Monster. Set to release in early 2022, Jennie’s sophomore collection is suitably titled Jentle Garden. This comes as the second edition to her first release Jentle Home which launched in Spring 2020 to fan pandemonium. Jentle Home cycled through several restocks, each selling out quickly every time. The kitschy collection inspired by a childhood dollhouse featured fifteen retro eyewear pieces, and three chains. Upon the 2020 launch, Jennie herself featured in a nostalgic popup with a tour inside her life sized "dollhouse" imbued with her memories.

We're still a little in the dark on the details involving this latest venture. Though, if Jennie's Instagram feed is anything to go of, we're in for a fun time. It’s looking like the new range will feature pastel hues, with many fans speculating a French Provincial vibe. The items and their prices have yet to be announced, but it's likely the new collection will be similar to Jentle Garden.

While we wait for more on the Jentle front, you can check out some of their recent ventures here.
