A reverence for the natural world is at the heart of Helen Kaminski’s AW22 collection

In partnership with Helen Kaminski

Won't you follow me to a Secret Winter Garden? As a quintessential Australian hatmaker, our local landscape has always conjured up much inspiration for Helen Kaminski. For its Autumn Winter 2022 collection, this remains unchanged.

Looking to rich hues of the natural realm and cosy winter motifs, Helen Kaminski unveils its Secret Winter Garden collection; a considered assemblage of unexpected textures, rich hues and lush textiles. The earthy colour palette – Blackberry, Mushroom, Deep Ivy, speaks of a reverence for the natural world - one only bolstered by Helen Kaminski's dedication to sustainable and conscious practices.

Highlighting this synergistic relationship with the natural world, Helen Kaminski has partnered with Barunah Plains Pastoral Company for  its Ultra Fine Wool Felt Conscious Collection , in the first release of an ongoing Honest Wool union. Barunah Plains is an independent  sheep station located in regional Victoria that prides itself on ethically farming, Australian pure Merino wool

With felts carefully hand-block in Spain by artisans, the brands mindful approach sees intention transformed into forever classics like the Etta. By detailing the process from farm to finished product, Helen Kaminski dedicates itself to showcasing its ongoing commitment to a transparent supply chain. A modus operandi that speaks volumes.

This conscious philosophy extends to hat finishings and textiles also. Eco-Grosgrain is sourced for ribbon trims, while naturally occurring materials like silk taffeta, pearl beads and cashmere are heroed within the Secret Winter Garden collection. After all, true luxury is achieved through care and intention. And what is more luxurious than integrating the elements found in mother nature, herself?

Take a little time to explore the Helen Kaminski AW22 offering. For a little exuberance, the Versailles capsule of sartorial designs is injected with the opulence found in French Haute Couture of the 80s and 90s. Standouts include the Velveteen cotton Caprice bucket hat studded with pearls and the dramatic Falaise boater and Monty beret, both embellished with an exaggerated silk taffeta bow. An invitation to embrace natural, we'll take them all.
