Fashion moments you might have missed this week

It's been another week of exciting fashion moments – amidst the chaos of SXSW Sydney – from Valentino's contribution to the Disney 100-year anniversary auction, to Bottega Veneta's new academy for the honing and passing down of their House crafts. We saw Lily-Rose Depp take on the role of ice skater for CHANEL's Coco Neige 2023/24 collection and the introduction of new spaces and collections from brands like Panerai, Van Cleef & Arpels, and St Agni.

Pierpaolo Piccioli reinterprets Marvel's Hulk

To celebrate 100 years of Disney, the brand is hosting a unique auction of items, artworks and experience donated from some of the world's most renowned fashion, music and arts visionaries. Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli has sketched Marvel's Hulk character, reinterpreting him from a chromatic green to the Maison's signature Pink PP.

The auction will run across 18 countries from 12-30 October, 2023 – with all proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish foundation.  

 

Van Cleef & Arpels introduce their new Fleurette Rose Gold collection

Van Cleef & Arpels' new Fleurette collection draws on its creative history to marry the soft warmth of rose gold and the brilliance of diamonds. The collection motif shines with seven round diamonds that form a delicate corolla, illuminating the hollow of the neckline, as well as the hand and face, the four new creations adorn the silhouette with a timeless elegance.

 

Bottega Veneta launches school for artisanal talent

In an effort to strengthen their commitment to craftsmanship and emerging talent, Bottega Veneta have launched the Accademia Labor et Ingenium, a school aimed at fostering artisanal talent through honing their skills and transmitting knowledge from one generation to the next. Based between the House's atelier in Montebello Vicentino and a dedicated new space at the brand’s manufacturing site in Povolaro Dueville, the "bottega" or "workshop" will serve as a permanent academy, where up to 50 Bottega Veneta employees, new hires, and external students annually can learn from master artisans through training activities, workshops, and courses.

 

Panerai’s opens brand new Chadstone boutique

Luxury timepiece brand Panerai have opened a brand new brick-and-mortar boutique in Melbourne's Chadstone, offering clients an unparalleled retail experience with the Swiss watchmakers. The store draws inspiration from the brand's story, taking customers through the different collections of the Panerai universe, and the brand’s connection to Modern Heroes, inspirational figures who embody their values.

 

CHANEL ambassador Lily-Rose Depp is the new face of the Coco Neige 2023/24 collection

Lily-Rose Depp embodies an ice skater under the limelight while fronting CHANEL's latest campaign, shot by photographer Mikael Jansson. Demonstrating the natural alliance between sport and fashion, the campaign showcasing a youthful, feminine line for both ski slopes and dance floors alike.

“When I heard that we were going to be shooting at an ice-skating rink, I couldn't help but think of Ice Princess, this movie I used to watch all the time when I was a little girl and I’d think, I want to be an ice skater too! I never quite pursued the dream, but I loved that movie,” Depp says.

 

Louis Vuitton are hosting an Adelaide pop-up

Louis Vuitton have unveiled a pop-up at Adelaide Central Plaza this week, dedicated to the House's most iconic collections. The pop-up is the first time Adelaide visitors will get the chance to discover a selection of Men's and Women's ready-to-wear garments, shoes, leather goods, accessories and fragrances in person.

The pop up will run from 13 October until 28 December this year.
