As a community for creative minds, RUSSH is calling out for entries to our 2025 Creative Showcase.
This platform for visual image creation invites photographers, stylists and other creators to submit a 6-8 page fashion or beauty editorial to be judged by a panel of experts.
Of the entries, 20 finalists will be selected. From these, our judges will select their choice, our readers will have a chance to vote for their favourite, and our editor-in-chief will select her choice. The three chosen winners will receive a prize courtesy of our partners and have their shoot featured in the March 2026 print issue of RUSSH Magazine. Who can submit?
Any aspiring stylist, photographer or creator is invited to enter.
You must have ownership of, and permission to submit the creative work.
All ages and all locations within Australia are eligible.
Please note, the prize and winning title will be awarded to the person whose name is on the submission – unless it is otherwise specified in the "what should we know about you" section that you are submitting as a group.
What can you submit?
Our Creative Showcase is a platform for fashion or beauty shoots and editorials. This is space for visual imagery. Entries must be a 6-8 page shoot accompanied by a short description of no more than 100-200 words that explains your vision.
When do submissions open and close?
Our Creative Showcase entries open on 29 September 2025. Entries close at midnight on 26 October 2025. T&Cs apply.
When will finalists be selected?
Our 20 finalists will be announced on 3 November 2025. This is the date when voting for the Readers' Choice winner opens.
How will voting work for Reader's Choice?
Voting by our readers on finalist submissions will open on 3 November 2025 and close on 16 November strictly at 7pm AEST.
When and where will winners be announced?
The three winners will be contacted after the Reader's Choice voting period has closed, and will be announced publicly in the March 2026 issue of RUSSH Magazine.
What will entries be judged on?
Entries will be judged on:
- their originality in concept and vision
- their use of form and style
- their creativity, tone and how visually engaging the editorial is.
What are the prizes?
All three winners – Judges' Choice, Readers' Choice and Editor's Commendation – will have their shoot featured in the March 2026 issue of RUSSH. In addition, the overall Judges' Choice winner will receive a $5,000 grant courtesy of Omoda to help pursue their creative career. The Readers' Choice winner will receive a Camera House prize pack in collaboration with Fujifilm, including the Fujifilm X-H2 camera, worth $3,499. The Editor's Commendation winner will receive a 4-night stay in a Collection by TFE Hotel of their choice, including breakfast.
