Electric lady you’re a star. Inspired to unite the skills and voices of women in music, Holly Rankin (who performs under the moniker Jack River) has established Electric Lady – an all-female movement culminating in a series of band nights across Sydney and Melbourne. The lineup brings together a host of Australian performers including Jack River herself, Bec Sandridge, Ali Barter, Alex Lahey, Gretta Ray and Bodytype. The initiative will also launch an influencer platform featuring interviews with the likes of activist and actress Isabel Lucas, surfer Stephanie Gilmore, astrophysicist Katie Mack and rally racing champion Molly Taylor. Electric Lady plays Sydney’s Metro Theatre on June 30 and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on July 1.
