Contrary to popular belief, marriage to Harry Styles is not all paradise in the new trailer for ‘Don’t Worry Darling’

It's chaos inside the RUSSH office this morning. The 2022 Met Gala red carpet is rolling out looks that have us quaking in our boots. On top of this, the trailer for Don't Worry Darling has beefed up an outsized news cycle and we hope you're sitting down because, boy it's a sensory overload.

Due to the limited plot details initially released, you'd be forgiven for thinking the film would simply focus on Alice, played by Florence Pugh, and Jack's (our honey Harry Styles) 1950s suburban household. With the trailer now here, the psychological thriller has taken on a new edge and marriage to Jack is not all it's cracked up to be.

Opening with an intimate scene between Alice and Jack in bed, the tenderness is swiftly switched out for tension and gaslighting. Set deep in the desert of a utopian community dubbed 'Victory', where the men work for a top-secret Victory Project and the wifes attend to domestic duties with discretion, cracks begin to appear in the sublime veneer for Alice. After all, what do their husbands even do? And what is behind the Victory Project?

Chris Pine stands in as the Victory Project CEO, pacifying all of Alice's growing questions and thus causing her to question her own sanity. We see Alice reach out to other housewives, namely Olivia Wilde and Gemma Chan's characters warning them of something sinister lurking beneath the surface. While other wives show signs of strange, sometimes life-threatening behaviour; smashing their head into the glass and potentially jumping off a building. What is behind all of this? We're going to have to watch Don't Worry Darling on its official September 23, 2022 release date in cinemas to find out.
