Keep your eye on these up-and-coming Aussie creatives

Here at RUSSH, we count ourselves very lucky to have the privilege to work alongside and in collaboration with a vast array of multi-talented, up-and-coming creatives in a variety of fields – from casting, arts and photography, to styling, makeup artists, hair stylists and set designers. Being a freelancer, creative or small business can be tough – especially when you're starting out – and building out networks and communities in the creative industry can, at times, feel overwhelming and impenetrable. In an effort to change that, and after being endlessly inspired by the creative talent we come into contact with in our day-to-day work, we decided it was about time that we found a platform for us to share this inspiration with a wider audience – outside of gushing about them over lunch at the RUSSH Magazine HQ of course.

And so, we've curated a list of emerging artists and young professionals in their creative lanes that we think you should really know about, whether you're looking to hire them for your next gig, shoot or creative project, support them through the purchase one of their artistic creations, or you simply want to spice up your Instagram feed.

From Hong Kong-born, Sydney-based photographer Tim Lo's vibrant photography across locales like Tibet and Hong Kong, to visual artist Madi Feist's playful and surreal sculptural works that use predominantly found and discarded objects and materials to challenge ideologies of mass consumption, these are the names and faces we think you'd want to know about before they're on the tip of everybody's tongue.
