Christopher Meloni’s latest thirst-trap of a shoot is making us feel some type of way

Christopher Meloni Interview

It's no secret that the RUSSH team are major crime fans. From true-crime documentaries that keep us up beyond reasonable hours to the late 90s, early 2000s fictional crime phenomenon that has enjoyed enduring success for more than two decades; partly, thanks to the number of times we've watched the re-run episodes. So, you could say we have a thing (ok, borderline zaddy issues) for troubled detectives – most famously, Law & Order: SVU's Elliot Stabler. While Christopher Meloni has flown under the radar for some time, his latest shoot with Interview magazine is little in the way of discretion; and naturally, we are totally here for it.

It's time to call this shoot what it is – a full-blown thirst trap. And props, because it absolutely worked. If it had the ability to blow up our team's group chat, then I can only imagine the impact it had on crime-loving millennials the globe over. There's a lot to unpack here, so stay with me.

First of all, we simply cannot go any further in this story without discussing Christopher Meloni in grey sweatpants and a cropped Interview t-shirt. This dumbbell-holding, pizza-eating vision really set out to do the bare minimum, but somehow managed to entirely swoop us up along the way? Make it make sense – oh wait, he's just bloody hot.

Then, of course, we move onto the green take and pink trouser combo with the matching Versace Medusa necklace. Which, is just simply *chef's kiss*.

But hey, it's probably about time I move on from objectifying Christopher Meloni and draw your attention to the interview, which, was actually almost as enjoyable to read as it was to look at the photos (almost). It's refreshing to see a different side to our boy Chris. Here's to many, many, more. One can hope.

For now, please enjoy these remarkable Twitter responses to the news.
