The latest campaign for Chanel, for its Spring-Summer 2020 eyewear, is all about stories.

Five stories to be exact.

Five artists and their five unique creative worlds light up the Chanel eyewear campaign: Pharrell Williams, Angèle, Isabelle Adjani, Margaret Qualley and Sébastien Tellier.

For the campaign, these five creatives chose their favourite pairs of glasses from the latest eyewear collection and wore them as they were shot by Karim Sadli and video interviewed by Pedro Winter. Five different eyewear designs but one single attitude: one that allows everyone to assert their style.

Electronic music composer-producer and director of the Ed Banger record label, Winter orchestrates and the video interviews. Each of the five muses shares their approach to style, moments from their pasts and also their relationships with creativity.

"You realise like just in art, there's a real study and skillset that goes along with designing clothes," says Pharrell of his connection to fashion.

"Some people you just like right way. You don't need to spend years getting to know each other," says Isabelle of Chanel'a artistic director Virginie Viard.

"I feel really free because of the fact that I started speaking out, singing and becoming known through the Internet. That's why I feel it is right for me to keep going," Angèle said of her feminist beliefs.

"I'm one of those people that plays the same song over and over and over again while I'm having a certain experience. And then it has so much power to transport you back to that experience," Margaret said of the power of music.

"For me, it's all that matter. Kindness is the most important thing," he said of meeting new people.
