A big day for K-Pop fans – BTS will star in a new film for the upcoming Louis Vuitton FW21 show

BTS Louis Vuitton show

Goodness, it's been a big 24 hours for K-Pop fans. First, there was the news that BLACKPINK's Jennie and Rosé had been spotted working on new music in Los Angeles. And now, megastar boyband BTS have been confirmed to star in the upcoming Louis Vuitton FW21 show in Seoul.

Louis Vuitton shared the exciting news to their Instagram last night; announcing that members Jung Kook, J-Hope, V, RM, Jin, Suga, and Jimin would star in an exclusive, never-before-seen film for the designer’s AW21 spin-off menswear collection.

So far, we don't yet know a lot about what the film will entail; besides this little tid-bit from Korean filmmaker Jeon Go-woon. The film will reportedly explore “a conversation between space, movement, and global connectivity”; with an emphasis on painting the South Korean city in a different light.

You can watch the teaser trailer below.

Where the collection is concerned; this latest installment from creative director Virgil Abloh will be an expansion on the ideas behind his AW21 drop. The upcoming show will see BTS done a total of 41 looks – 34 of which are entirely brand new. And we can probably expect to see the 'wearable cityscapes' and aviation-themed homage shine through again.

To be fair, the news isn't a complete surprise given that the global stars had been announced as official brand ambassador's for the luxury fashion house only a couple of months ago. News, that obviously sent fans of the multi-disciplinary artists into a spiral.

At the time, Abloh shared that he was "looking forward to this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture."
