Brooke Hogan on self care and her new top secret skincare line

“Good food, good people and good energy”. Model, presenter and ambassador, Brooke Hogan, knows the importance of looking after yourself, both mentally and physically. Here, we delve into the life of the YSL muse and soon-to-be founder of an exciting new skincare range.

My morning beauty routine is …
I’m actually in the process of launching a skincare range of my own at the moment. I actually haven’t really spoken about this just yet (so this is an exclusive!), but I love using a cleanser that I’m working on, a day serum (something really hydrating) and I always wear 50+ (sunscreen) religiously. But when I’m not working, I do try to keep it quite bare and quite minimal.

My night beauty routine is …
Night serum, eye cream and a weekly mask (which will also be a part of the range) … and some pimple cream if I have some spots.

My favourite products for my body are …
I’ve been using Crème De Corps by Kiehl’s at the moment, a cult product that I’ve been loving.

My favourite form of exercise is …
I really enjoy running, I’m actually training for a half marathon at the moment so I’ve kind of amped up my training a lot. I found it’s such a mental game and I feel like I’m applying the mental strengths that I apply with running into my life and career decisions and things like that … kind of pushing yourself, knowing that you can. So, I’m really enjoying it. I also do a bit of Pilates, which I find is quite insular, it’s just you and your emotions and your thoughts which I love.

When my body needs to recover I …
I’m quite in tune with my body and I don’t really feel bad if I’m not feeling my best. If I don’t really feel like doing anything I take that on board and not overthink it too much. I also love a massage - I just like to take it easy.

My favourite detox is …
Finding some sun, reading a book, switching off, being in the moment, going away with my partner, spending time with my dog, putting my phone down and just really being present which I find is such a hard thing to do now.

My favourite retox is …
I have two major guilty pleasures. Hot chips and hot chocolate … both of which I had last night.

The best health advice I’ve received …
Listen to your body and take care of yourself mentally. Feed your body with good food, good people and good energy.

My beauty icon is …
I love Rosie Huntington-Whiteley because she pushes the boundaries a little but is still very relatable in the way that she approaches her beauty.

The product I can’t live without it ...
The Rouge Volupte Shine 16 – it has all the hyaluronic acids so it’s really hydrating for your lips. Also, the Rouge Pur Couture in 5 for a pop of colour and Libre by YSL, which we launched about four weeks ago.
