Jodie Comer is not finished with obsessive romance yet! She’s just signed onto TV series ‘Big Swiss’

Rabid for Jodie Comer? Get some snacks and join the club. We never thought we'd find ourselves fawning over a trigger-happy assassin like Villanelle, but in the year of our lord 2022 it seems anything is possible? For those of us savouring each episode of Killing Eve's final season, the good news is that Ms. Comer is not finished with the small screen just yet. The actress has been tapped for a television adaptation of the soon-to-be-released novel Big Swiss by author Jen Beagin, and her character shares similar traits with our beloved Villanelle.

Scooped up by HBO in another one of those Hollywood bidding wars, the book will be adapted by A24 and Adam McKay's Hyperobject Industries no less. Further proof that we're in for a raging time.

What is Big Swiss about?

Yes, it's a lot of hype for a book that hasn't even been released yet. But the plot of the novel does sound promising. From what we know, Jodie Comer will play Flavia, AKA 'Big Swiss', a woman who has mysteriously created a new life for herself anonymously transcribing sex therapy sessions in Hudson, New York. When Flavia becomes fixated on one of the patients, things get hairy as her obsession leads to an explosive relationship between the two. Sound familiar? What did I tell you.

When does production start? Is there a release date? Who else will star alongside Jodie Comer (possibly Sandra Oh)? As Big Swiss has only just been publicly announced, we're scarce on the rest of the details. But as always, as soon as we know we'll be bombarding you with all the information. Watch this space.

In the meantime, you can get your fill of Jodie Comer screen time in the upcoming film The Last Duel where she stars alongside Adam Driver. Otherwise, you can busy yourself by adding The Help to your watchlist, another Jodie Comer-led film that brings to light the harrowing impact of the pandemic.
