Artist Residence, London

A recent addition to London's emerging Pimlico social scene is boutique hotel the Artist Residence (and don’t forget their sister hotels in CornwallBrighton and Oxfordshire.) This stylish 10-bedroom design hotel presents more like a premium guesthouse than a London lodging, offering all the modern comforts plus endless rows of candy jars and a vibrant cocktail bar. With an all-day dining restaurant under the guise of The Cambridge Street Kitchen and a relaxing Club Room we felt a world away, just moments from central London.

See …
If the comical art on the hotel walls doesn’t inspire you to visit Shoreditch's Pure Evil Gallery, then window-shop at the nearby iconic Saatchi Gallery.

Taste …
The Cambridge Street Kitchen, a favourite local haunt set adjacent to the hotel in a casual dining atmosphere but with an impressive gastro-menu. Ideal for Sunday brunch, coffee or an intimate dinner. For a pre or post-dinner drink, RUSSH loves the Clarendon Cocktail Cellar - a quirky yet sophisticated bar located aptly downstairs in the hotel (in what was previously an underground pub cellar). Then pop down to The Ebury wine bar.

Have breakfast then shop at the Tiffany & Co.’s West London flagship store, or for a longer, leisurely stroll visit eclectic boutique, The Shop at Bluebird.

Insider’s tip ...
Devote a day to lounging by the fire with a good book or tackle a game of retro ping-pong in the Artist Residence’s designated games room.
