Art in May: these are the shows to catch in Australia this month

You won't have to work too hard or look too far to find exhibitions to attend this May. This month is brimming with shows of artists both emerging and well-cemented.

Keep an eye out for Oh, Museum at Cement Fondu which will feature a participatory piece from Guerrilla Girls. While Gianna Hayes will be leading an indigo dyeing workshop that explores the importance of the dye in Indigenous and Black history. For those in the Northern Territory, the works of year 12 art students are still on display at Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
