Let the music play. The 2018 Aria Music Awards, hosted at Sydney’s Star Casino overnight, brought together some of our favourite artists – Amy Shark, Jack River, Troye Sivan (profiled in our Imagination issue), Montaigne and Courtney Barnett – for a celebration of the best talent the industry has to offer. Shark took home an impressive total of three Arias, including Apple Music’s Album of the Year for her debut record Love Monster and best pop release for lead single I Said Hi, and Barnett walked away with the year’s best Rock Album – the first time the accolade has been won by a woman.
