Korean streetwear brand, acmé de la vie, is opening its first Australian store

ADLV Australian store

There's no question that Korean fashion is at the forefront of some of the industry's leading trends. Over the past few years, we have followed the events and sartorial moments of Seoul Fashion Week feverishly; keeping an eye out for noteworthy trailblazers and the streetwear designers they wear on their backs. One simply needs to look at the hype around London-based Korean designer Rok Hwang, who was the recipient of the LVHM Special Prize in 2018 for confirmation. It's no surprise then, that Korean fashion is finally making its way to our shores; with the opening of acmé de la vie's (ADLV) first Australian store here in Melbourne.

The popular brand, which happens to be Korea's fastest growing streetwear label; will open its first ADLV Australian store in the heart of Melbourne shopping district, QV Melbourne. First founded in 2017, it didn't take long before twin brothers Jinmo and Jaemo Goo had established ADLV as destination for elevated streetwear that also makes a social statement. The creative duo set out to use their brand as a means to offer high-quality pieces at affordable prices. With this in mind, there's no question why the label has been famously pipped as Korea's coolest airport go-to attire.

For their inspiration, the brothers looked to the French passage, acmé de la vie, which translates to the saying 'The Pinnacle of Life'. Using this as their foundation, ADLV strives to create inspiring pieces that empower the wearer. The label offers a variety of different styles; including t-shirts, sweats, hoodies, accessories and outerwear. And if the brand name sounds familiar, you've probably already come across ADLV through its covetable Baby Face collection.

ADLV Australian director Ying Yang shared; "We're so excited to open a store in Melbourne and grow our Australian fan base. We know streetwear is such a staple in Australian fashion and we love seeing how consumers adapt pieces to an Australian climate."

The ADLV Australian store will open in Melbourne on May 8, with an Australian-based ecommerce set to launch shortly after.
